Rachel Caine

Rachel Caine is the author of the popular Weather Warden series (Ill
Wind, Heat Stroke, Chill Factor, Windfall, Firestorm, Thin Air, Gale
Force and Cape Storm).  The ninth (and last) Weather Warden
novel, Total Eclipse, will be released in August 2010.  February 2010
also sees the release of Unknown, the second book of her Outcast
Season series.

She also writes the popular Morganville Vampires series
(Glass Houses, The Dead Girls' Dance, Midnight Alley, Feast of Fools,
Lord of Misrule, Carpe Corpus, and Fade Out).  Glass Houses was named
to the 2008-2009 Texas Library Association's Tayshas reading list for
high schools.   Rachel recently finalized a deal to extend the
Morganville series to 12 books in total.  Book 8, Kiss of Death, will
be released May 4, 2010, and will be followed by a winter release,
Ghost Town, which will be the series debut in hardcover.

She has also written paranormal romantic action/adventure
for the Silhouette Bombshell line, including Devil's Bargain, Devil's
Due, and Athena Force: Line of Sight. She's contributed essays to
several BenBella SmartPop books as well.  As Julie Fortune, she
published an officially licensed Stargate SG-1 novel, Sacrifice
Moon.  She is also a contributor to several short story collections,
including My Big Fat Supernatural Wedding and My Big Fat Supernatural
Honeymoon (edited by P.N. Elrod), and the New York Times
bestseller Many Bloody Returns (edited by Charlaine Harris and Toni
L.P. Kelner).

Her previous novels include Stormriders, The Undead, Red
Angel, Cold Kiss, Slow Burn, Copper Moon, Bridge of Shadows, and the
hardcover mystery novel Exile, Texas.  She and her husband, fantasy
artist R. Cat Conrad, live in Texas with their iguanas Popeye and
Darwin.
