Thomas W. Knowles writes SF stories (”Curtain Call,” “Luck of the Draw,” “Captured Angel,” and “Just the Right Light”) that cross genres and mix true history with myth and legend. His award-winning non-fiction books deal with Americana, Victoriana, and military and law enforcement history. The American West is his favorite subject whether he’s writing SF, historical fiction, or non-fiction, and he’s visited that period in his Wild West series edited with Joe R. Lansdale, and in his three-volume, authorized history of the Texas Rangers, THEY RODE FOR THE LONE STAR.

            In 2007, Tom and his business partners founded two new Texas-based publishing companies, Lone Star Publishing and Dark Star Books.
